About Border Security Force:
The BSF motto is the duty un to death formed 01 December 1965 constituting instrument BSF act 1972.
The BSF is the primary border guarding force of India it is one of the five central armed police force(CAPF). Of the Union of India, it was raised in the Wake of the 1965 war on 01 December 1965. "For ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with." It is a CAPF changed with guarding India's CAPF border during Peace time and preventing transnational crime. It is a union government agency under the ministry of home affairs. The BSF has grown exponentially from a few battalions in 1965,to 186 battalions with a strength of 2.4 lacs (240,000) personnel including an expanding air wing, marine wing, artillery regiments and commandos units etc.

Selection process:
Candidates will be selected based on two phases written examination examination (OMR based screening Test) discriptive test preliminary screening & physics efficiency test.
Application fee:
General & OBC candidate have to pay ₹50/- through demand draft in favour of IG/DIG/ comdt payable at respective SBI/post office . No fee for SC/ST. BSF serving personnel female candidates.
